Jan 20, 2023 · The basic service intervals for the Kawasaki Z400 are either every 7600 miles (12000 km) OR ever year. At any of those periods, change the oil and filter, and check the schedule to see what you need to adjust inspect, lubricate, or replace. The major valve clearance inspection interval is a generous 24000 km (15000 miles). First off verify that you have the right amount of oil in the engine. Drain case and resevoir then add 2100 ml. Then start it up and remove the cap on the rezzie. You will be able to see the oil circulating from the return line in the top of the tank.Change every 3 to 4,000mi, and do your first oil @ 500 to 1k mi. I suggest the Mobil1 m110A, or the Bocsh 3323 filter. Dont use K&N, certain models were recalled in 2016, and I dont trust them.
