If a game doesn't have TAA, then I keep it off as it oversharpens the image and creates artefacts. It's a game changer with TAA though. I am mostly playing Apex Legends and film grain is very noticeable when you're using TSAA option. I want to maximally reduce that but I am not sure which value is the correct one.Only if global or game profile settings is > 0%, sharpening should be applied. The amd adrenaline software has an image sharpening slider that was easy to locate and I always used. If you use DX12, the control panel filter is good and I'd suggest nothing more than 30% as well. DX12 also has a sharper image than Vulkan as I found out testing something earlier this week and noticed this with sharpening disabled..
